At the time of separation the Court will look at all the assets of a couple, held both in joint names and in single names and it will decide a fair and equitable division of assets in order to provide for all members of the family in the future. Assets will be all goods, property, pension funds, savings, lottery winnings etc. of the couple. The Court will look at the needs of all members of the family, taking into particular consideration the needs of any dependent children and if one spouse is dependent financially on the other. The Court will endeavour as best as possible to provide for all parties needs but it will deal with the practicality of each situation and circumstances.

MW Keller’s came highly recommended from a friend, and they didn’t disappoint. From the time we engaged them, to the close of our house sale, their advice was clear and concise. Once we appointed them we received a detailed email outlining all the various things we needed to do in order to be fully compliant with all the various bodies and authorities, including helpful links to websites to guide us through the process. Nothing appeared to phase them. They’d seen it all before and had almost immediate answers, no matter how complicated we thought an issue was. We would have no hesitation in recommending MW Keller & Son.
