Meningitis Research Foundation ‘Make a Will’ Campaign

Between Monday 18th – Friday 29th April, MW Keller & Son Solicitors LLP is taking part in the Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF) ‘Make a Will’ Campaign.

MW Keller & Son Solicitors LLP will offer clients a standard Will writing service free of charge, in return for a suggested donation of €50 – €100 to MRF. Solicitor, Tom Norris said, ‘We are very happy to support MRF in this important campaign and would encourage all clients, regardless of age, to plan for the future and make out their Will. By writing their Will, clients will not only gain peace of mind and benefit from significant savings but also support a very worthwhile cause.’

Regarded as deadly diseases that can strike without warning, meningitis and septicaemia kill one in ten of those affected. They also leave a third of survivors with life altering after-effects such as brain damage, hearing loss and amputations. Ireland has the highest prevalence of meningococcal meningitis and septicaemia in Europe, with an average of 200 cases each year and it remains the leading cause of death in children from infectious disease.

MRF Fundraising Officer, Karen Dunlop commented, ‘Our “Make a Will” campaign this April is a way to recognise World Meningitis Day which takes place on Sunday 24th April, while also raising vital funds for our work and awareness of the disease across Ireland. We are asking members of the local community to take advantage of this great opportunity to make a Will and a difference to our work at the same time. By donating just €80, you could help fund 2 hours of a cutting-edge research project into the prevention, detection and treatment of meningitis which helps to save lives.’
